The Rockingham Planning Commission (RPC), as the federally designated Metropolitan Transportation Organization (MPO) for the region, announces its intent to amend the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to account for scope, schedule and cost changes to projects. The TIP is a prioritized list of federal and state funded transportation projects cooperatively developed by NH DOT and representatives RPC communities and currently includes projects with work scheduled from fiscal years 2025 through 2028. This update helps maintain consistency with State project programming documents and the RPC Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). Copies of all documents are available on the RPC website linked at https://www.therpc.org/TIPAmendments. Copies will also be mailed to interested parties by request.
A public comment period for the Amendments begins Friday May 30, 2025 and concludes on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. A public hearing to consider the changes and any received comments is scheduled for Wednesday June 11, 2025, beginning at 6:30 PM at the RPC Meeting at the Exeter Inn, 90 Front Street, Exeter. Please check the public engagement portal or the RPC website for the most up-to-date information on how to access the meeting. The Planning Commission will meet after the public hearing to adopt the changes to the TIP.

Regional Master Plan Survey Launches!
Share your ideas about the future of the region!
RPC is updating the Regional Master Plan – last updated in 2015 - and seeking input from residents, elected officials, landowners, and businesses. The Regional Master Plan covers 27 communities in Rockingham County and is the guiding document for shaping where we live, work, and play over the next 20-30 years.

The Rockingham Planning Commission has begun a 30 day public comment period to gather feedback on the draft 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This 30-day public comment period for the TIP and Plan documents began Friday, February 7, 2025 and concludes on Monday March 10, 2025. A public hearing to solicit public comment is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Stratham Town Offices (10 Bunker Hill Avenue) beginning at 6:00 PM. An option for virtual participation will be made available and the link will be provided prior to the meeting.The Planning Commission will meet after the public hearing to adopt the documents.

The RPC will be meeting next week in its capacity as the Metropolitan Planning Organization to address transportation planning business that is important to funding regional transportation projects. The agenda includes approval of highway and transit safety targets as well as our updated Title VI Plan.
