About Regional Impact Committee

The Regional Impact Committee was established to assist in carrying out the requirements of RSA 36:54-58 – Developments of Regional Impact. The purposes of the Regional Impact Committee are:

• To fulfill the Commission’s responsibilities and obligations under the Developments of Regional Impact statute (RSA 36:54-58)
• Provide timely notice to potentially affected municipalities concerning Proposed Developments which are likely to have impacts beyond the boundaries of a single municipality
• Provide opportunities for the Commission and the potentially affected municipalities to furnish timely input to the municipality having jurisdiction
• To encourage the interests of neighboring municipalities and the region to be considered during deliberations and decision-making. The Regional Impact Committee meetings occur as needed based on the receipt of a notice of regional impact from a municipality.
